The way life really is…..

The way your life is isn’t necessarily the way it is at all, it is simply the way you are choosing to perceive it or indeed interpret events around you.

birdWe hold beliefs because we as humans have an overwhelming desire to believe something. Some might say it is hard to live without beliefs, but is it really so hard? We normally in life tell ourselves and others by way of the language we use that what we see, hear and read about is the truth. We use the word ‘IS’ we such finality that we accept only what is already in line with what we current believe. But perhaps a better strategy is to simply not believe anything, instead say things like ‘It appears to be the case that..’ or ‘it seems to me that this is the way things are’, we have amazing human minds, but they are much better when open. Open to new ideas, new possibilities, new perspectives, new thoughts, etc. If you have rigid beliefs systems, what will you ultimately learn in life? Our mind is a tool to use whilst experiencing life on earth. We can use it in any way we want, and it is up to us how we use it, and this includes what we decide to believe about ourselves and the world around us.

If you can change your perspective on life, your life will change. There is nothing permanent about anything in your life right now, this includes, thoughts, ideas, beliefs, your job, work, identity, skills.

We normally believe we are what we are, whatever we identify with and that this will be the case for the rest of our lives, but this isn’t so. How many people will ever change their belief systems throughout their lives, probably not many, they will believe X, Y and Z but never open themselves up to the idea of A, B and C.

Life is everywhere, as is consciousness. You build on top of consciousness the very life situation you are now experiencing. Nobody can do this for you, nor should anyone do this for you because being the pure potential that you are comes with it the responsibility that what occurs in your mind is there because you have put it there. All those thoughts which you think which cause you to feel a certain way, it is you doing it no one else.

Always remember that your mind is a tool, an amazing one yes, but it is still a tool that is to utilized by you while you are having this experience on planet earth.

You are beyond mind and body

So you are not your body or your mind, what does that mean exactly?

We are not our minds, but yet for most of the time what goes on in our minds dictates all of our current reality. Look at your life situation right now, is your current reality how you want it to be?

beyond-mind1In our pure form we are infinite possibility which operates at a higher level than our minds however when we drop down into our minds, it is sometimes the case that the pure potential that we really are is no longer there, or at least we perceive ourselves in a way which is rather limiting as become our thoughts and start to identify with our minds. For a lot of people, for a lot of the time they spend their lives as slaves to the mind which is ultimately theirs to control and use however they want to. In reality as infinite possibility there is nothing we can’t do and everything we can do, however when we use our minds it can sometimes be the case that there is everything we can’t do and only a small fraction of things we can do.

But this isn’t nor should it ever be the case.

It is false, it is a mind made concept, nothing more. We need to be aware that we are all capable of so much more than we think we are, and there lies the real problem, thinking about what we can or cannot do.

Sometimes when we continually identify with our minds we don’t always lead the most productive or fulfilling lives, but if we are not our minds then we don’t have to be at the mercy of our thoughts. We can learn to rise above and access a higher knowing which is beyond our minds. Call it intuition or a sixth sense or just the consciousness which is everywhere which we are all a part of, it is what we are.

A great start in knowing that we are infinite consciousness is being able to understand that the real YOU is beyond mind and body. We are all a part of something much greater than what goes on in our minds.

So what do you do? Well perhaps a good start would be to remind yourself that you are not your mind or your body when you wake up each day, or before you go to bed. It won’t take long, just a brief reminder you are more than your body and mind, and that you really are capable of more than what your current and previous levels of thinking have bought you.

“What you are is far greater than what you are currently experiencing.”
